Top Tips for your visit

Footwear
Wear sensible footwear – the Great Yorkshire Maze is an outdoor event on fine sandy soil, so it might well be dusty and dirty, and if it has rained it could be muddy!

Clothing
Bring layers of clothing with you to keep you warm/cool/dry/wind-protected and generally comfortable in all conditions – the weather can change very quickly.

Slip, Slop, Slap, Slide when it’s hot:
Slip on light clothing to keep you covered
Slop on the sunblock – even if it’s cloudy the sun can burn.
Slap on a hat or cap
Slide on the shades!

The Great Yorkshire Maze is an outdoor attraction so please wear footwear suitable for walking in a sandy field, especially if it has rained!
The event is situated in fields with compacted soil, so is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs, though rain might make the soil muddy, so please be aware of the weather before arriving. Some of the vintage funfair rides may not be accessible to all.
We think you will need between 2 to 4 hours if you walk through both mazes, play on the vintage funfair rides and stalls, and enjoy the café and Big Top entertainment.

The walk through the Yorkshire Rose Maze takes approximately 60 minutes.
We will provide you with a map of the Yorkshire Rose Maze so you can escape if you want to! In addition there are exit routes that take you to the perimeter path. Simply follow the arrows to get back to the Fun in the Field Zone.
There is a large free grass/stubble car park right beside the Maze. The car park and access is not suitable for coaches or buses.
We offer something for all appetites! Light bites and toasties, barbecued burgers and sausages, vegan sausage rolls, sandwiches, special tornado potato crisps, fruit, cakes and sweet treats, popcorn, tea, coffee and soft drinks can all be purchased from our cafe..

There will be plenty of picnic tables and benches spaced around the site and inside the Big Top for you to sit and enjoy our fare – and recharge your batteries!

There are tables and chairs both outside as well as inside the Big Top.
